Accountability has become a buzzword in education circles. There’s much talk about giving principals more authority, making them more like CEOs. But principals say there are barriers to that happening. There’s also talk of making teachers more accountable, nationally, through performance pay. But that concept hasn’t gained traction in Hawaii.
