Former Castle High School Star QB Shot Dead

At 27, former star quarterback Joel Botelho was a father of three who had just bought a home on the Big Island. On Sunday, the former Castle High School standout was shot to death in his family’s Kaneohe driveway. He was home to celebrate his birthday and the holidays with his family. Makuola Collins, 26, has been arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder. His family and the victim’s family both live on the same street.
