TV watching reached a new peak in America in 2010, Nielsen says. It’s up to an average of 34 hours per person per week. While the shift to cable from broadcast continues, the networks still retain many more viewers than the cable channels and CBS’s “Hawaii Five-0” is the most popular new network show, according to The New York Times. It may not get the attention of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” or AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” but it’s got a much bigger audience. “Hawaii Five-O” was one of three new shows to land in the top 20 for the year.
