Here’s a critter you sure don’t see everyday in Hawaii. Agriculture inspectors nabbed a 4-foot-long black rat snake at a city refuse center in Waipahu over the weekend. People spotted the reptile slithering into a hole in a concrete barrier. Officials coaxed it out with a rod and caught it with a net. The snake is being held in quarantine and will eventually be sent to the mainland along with several other Honolulu Zoo reptiles.
