Akaka Takes to Twitter on Debt

Sen. Daniel Akaka on Wednesday posted to Twitter his support for Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid‘s plan to raise the debt ceiling.

In a subsequent post, Akaka wrote that the proposal would make “necessary cuts to lower the deficit while protecting Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid – programs needed for survival.”
