Rep. Colleen Hanabusa says she and her fellow freshmen Democrats in Congress have stuck together since the 2010 election. Maybe you’ve heard their self-dubbed nickname: The Noble Nine.

“We all have a great time together,” Hanabusa said of the group. “We have a tradition. Once a month, or once every two weeks, one of us will host everyone for dinner… It’s my turn.”

Hanabusa told DC808 that she plans to make Korean food for tonight’s dinner.

“I love to cook,” Hanabusa said. “I’m going to have them all over and we’re going to celebrate… Just to realize it’s the relationships you keep. Because we vote all over the place.”

Others in Hanabusa’s freshmen clique include: Karen Bass (D-Calif.), Bill Keating (D-Mass.), David Cicilline (D-R.I.), Terri Sewell (D-Ala.), Cedric Richmond (D-La.), Hansen Clarke (D-Mich.), John Carney (D-Del.), Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.).
