Every time we talk to Rep. Colleen Hanabusa we ask: Have you decided?

Her answer, over and over again: Nope!

The question is whether Hanabusa will run for re-election in the U.S. House, or make a go at the U.S. Senate.

We already know that former Congressman Charles Djou wants Hanabusa’s First Congressional District seat. If Hanabusa runs for Senate, she’ll first square off against fellow Democrats Ed Case, a former congressman, and Rep. Mazie Hirono. Political trackers have their eye on former Gov. Linda Lingle as the Republican candidate in the Senate race.

Check out this analysis from The Washington Post about how other Senate races across the country could shift the political dynamic and put Republicans in control of the chamber.

Hanabusa said she would make up her mind in August. The last day of the month is a week from tomorrow. We’re still waiting.
