‘The Killing Cannot Continue’

Sen. Daniel Inouye released this statement about President Barack Obama‘s call for the president of Syria, Bashar al-Assad, to step down:

“The President’s request is an official effort to end the turmoil. The killing cannot continue. We await Assad’s decision with some hope. Otherwise this could evolve into something very deadly. I sincerely hope not.”
