APEC Launches Photo Contest

Attention shutterbugs! Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation organizers want Hawaii residents and others in the Asia-Pacific region to interpret APEC’s priorities through photographs. 

A panel of judges will review all photos that deal with the following themes that APEC organizers see as the conference’s goals: 

• Regional economic integration and expanding trade

• Green growth

• Advancing regulatory cooperation

“These photographic inputs will help inform the decisions we make as we move the agenda forward,” said Ambassador Muhamad Noor, executive director of the APEC Secretariat, in a statement. 

The deadline for submissions is Oct. 10, and public voting will begin on the APEC Facebook page the following week. Click here for more information about the contest.
