Congressional candidate and Honolulu City Council member Tulsi Gabbard emailed supporters to mark 10 years since the 2001 terrorist attacks.

Here is some of what Gabbard wrote:

“As we observe the 10th anniversary of 9/11, and we face a different set of challenges here at home, we should be reminded again of this need for us to unite as Americans, and to put our country first.

“Only by setting aside our differences and focusing on what we all share and value most, can we further strengthen our families, neighborhoods, communities, jobs, and economy. This is the best possible response to those terrorists who continue to threaten our nation today.”
