Time is dwindling before the Federal Election Commission‘s close-of-books deadline on Friday, and candidates with their sights set on Washington — or the ones already here who want to stay — want your dough.
Rep. Mazie Hirono wants to raise $25,000 by Friday in her bid for U.S. Senate.
Her opponent for the Democratic nomination in that race, former Congressman Ed Case, on Wednesday asked supporters for donations of $25, $50 and $100 to “find a better way forward on Capitol Hill.”
City Council member and Congressional hopeful Tulsi Gabbard also mentioned $25,000 as a target in an email to supporters on Wednesday.
Rep. Colleen Hanabusa put her U.S. House re-election fundraising goal in specific terms in a Wednesday email to supporters willing to contribute $25: “We’re just 36 online contributors away from our quarterly goal.”
