Rep. Colleen Hanabusa is this morning attending a House Armed Services Committee hearing about the future of national defense.

The committee will take testimony from foreign policy scholars like the Brookings Institution’s Michael O’Hanlon and Jim Thomas, who is director of studies for the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments. Thomas Donnelly of the American Enterprise Institute and Max Boot of the Council on Foreign Relations are also slated to attend.

Later today, Hanabusa will meet with Terry Kaolulo from the Hawaii State Association of Letter Carriers, according to the congresswoman’s spokeswoman. Hanabusa is also planning to meet with Ashley Maynard, a University of Hawaii professor and member of the American Psychological Association.
