Rep. Mazie Hirono is meeting with a group of Hawaii students who are in town for the opening of a pair of U.S. Department of Education art exhibits in which their award-winning work is featured. (Read related coverage).
Hirono’s spokeswoman told DC808 that the congresswoman will also visit a demonstration of the Emergency Vision Assurance system.
The system was developed by Hawaii-based VisionSafe Corporation to help pilots see when there is dense smoke in the cockpit, the spokeswoman said.
