The Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee is scheduled to discuss Hawaii’s Patricia Loui as a nominee to the Export-Import Bank of the United States. The bank’s mission is to facilitate the export of American goods and services to international markets.

Loui is the founder of the international research firm OmniTrak Group, Inc., which focuses on market growth in Hawaii and Asia. She has served as president of the East-West Center Association and as a vice president of marketing, planning and development for the Bank of Hawaii. Read more about her from the East-West Center.

President Barack Obama nominated Loui in May.  The nomination hearing is set for 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
