Our repeated pleas for a scheduled interview were turned down, and it’s fair to say that Honolulu officials were surprised to see DC808 waiting for them in a hallway after their meeting with Sen. Daniel Inouye.
“Shocked,” Carlisle said with a laugh. “We went deep undercover on this one.”
Our interview with the group — which entailed us following them around on several elevator rides, from one building to the next via tram and eventually to the door of Inouye’s office — lasted all of nine minutes and 19 seconds.
