The Washington Monument sustained more damage than officials initially disclosed after a 5.8 magnitude earthquake shook Washington last month, according to The Washington Post. 

The monument is closed indefinitely for repairs, the newspaper reports. Check out surveillance footage from inside the monument, which shows visitors rushing to evacuate the shaking obelisk.
