9/11 and Pearl Harbor Parallels

Maybe you’ve heard Sen. Daniel Inouye talk about where he was on December 7, 1941. But it’s still remarkable to hear him describe looking up at the sky that morning and seeing the air filled with planes, “gray with red dots,” during the attack on Pearl Harbor. 

Inouye drew parallels to Pearl Harbor on Wednesday afternoon as he testified about a bill that would provide federal funding for a new 9/11 memorial and museum in Manhattan.
