Hirono far surpassed fellow Democrat Ed Case in the previous quarter when she raised $281,268 and he raised $147,940. Case’s finance filings for the most recent period were not yet available as of Friday afternoon. The campaign filing deadline is Saturday.
We’ll have to wait until the end of the next quarter to find out how the Democrats are faring against newly announced Republican candidate Linda Lingle. The former governor says she’s aiming to raise $8 million – $10 million.
UPDATE: The Case campaign announced it took in $136,000 in donations last quarter.
