Hanabusa took in $143,204 in the three-month period ending Sept. 30. Djou raised $81,411 during that time.
Hanabusa’s campaign got a boost from political action committees, which shelled out a combined $60,750. Djou received a single $200 donation from One Nation, a California-based conservative PAC.
Both candidates announced their intentions to run for Hawaii’s1st Congressional District more than halfway through the filing period. Djou announced one week before Hanabusa.
