Woman Hired White House ‘Chief Usher’

The White House announced on Tuesday that Angella Reid will serve as the next chief usher of the White House, making her the first woman ever to serve in the role. 

The chief usher is responsible for all aspects of operations and activities in and around the White House. Reid is leaving her position as general manager of the Ritz-Carlton in Pentagon City to take the White House job.
