Rep. Colleen Hanabusa notified her Twitter followers that she is back in Washington after spending the week in Hawaii for APEC.

Hanabusa shared some of her observations about the APEC on the House floor on Tuesday.

“It’s important to note that what was dominating the conversations was the rising dominance of China,” Hanabusa said. “The president, our president, asked China to end the policy of keeping the yuan artificially low, and it is artificially low.”

She said that if China were to end the policy of keeping its yuan artificially low, it would increase the United States’ GDP by $285 billion in 18 months.
