Hannemann Picks Up ILWU Backing

The state’s largest private sector union is throwing its support behind former Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann in the 2nd Congressional District race. 

The International Longshore and Warehouse Union, Local 142 has about 20,000 Hawaii members, according to a press release from the Hannemann campaign.

Hannemann, a Democrat, said he is “very grateful” for the support.
