Hawaiian Airlines announced on Wednesday that it will offer daily nonstop flights between Honolulu and New York City’s JFK International Airport.
The service begins in June, and will add more than 107,000 new air seats annually to Hawaii’s tourism industry from the Eastern U.S., according to a statement released by Hawaiian Airlines.
“Hawaiian’s new service will generate an estimated $156 million in direct visitor spending and $17 million in state tax revenue annually for our tourism economy,” said Mike McCartney, CEO of the Hawaii Tourism Authority.
