• Meeting with representatives from the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement to discuss issues related to housing and education. 

• Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus meeting in which Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will discuss federal education policy. Hirono chairs the caucus’ education taskforce.
