Sen. Daniel Akaka paused for a photo with Navajo code talker Frank Chee Willeto on Capitol Hill. 

Akaka hosted a Wednesday ceremony to honor tribes who have contributed to the U.S. military over the years. Code talkers spoke in native languages to relay information during World War II. 

Akaka is also a World War II veteran.
