Rep. Mazie Hirono issued a statement about a House resolution that urges the North Korean government to return the remains of Korean War soldiers to the United States.
Hirono said people whose family members have been missing since the war are “stuck between hope and despair… forced to leave a chair open at the dinner table.”
There are still 8,000 American service members who remain unaccounted for since the end of the conflict, Hirono said.
