KAHULUI – Gov. Neil Abercrombie said Wednesday that he will appoint an interim successor for Office of Hawaiian Affairs Trustee Boyd Mossman “as soon as I can” and that whoever he picks will not be running for the seat in the November election.

The governor was left to make the appointment after the OHA board was unable to name a successor to Mossman, a retired 2nd Circuit Court judge and former vice chairman of OHA.
