Big Waves Pound North Shore

New North Shore swell is in. High surf advisory through Saturday — 16 to 22-foot swells expected.

NORTH SHORE, Oahu – A High Surf Advisory is in effect for the north and west shores of Kauai and Niihau, and the north shores of Oahu, Molokai and Maui, through Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service, waves can reach 16 to 22 feet with occasional larger sets are expected today on the north shores. Waves could reach heights of 12 to 18 feet along west facing beaches of Oahu and Molokai.
