As promised, the extra surveillance cameras used by the Honolulu Police Department for security operations during APEC are now in use for traffic monitoring.
That’s according to Department of Information Technology chief Gordon Bruce, who told Inside Honolulu in an email that the switch was made “right after APEC.”
Bruce said all traffic cams are back on the Drive Akamai system.
