The public is invited to join in a celebration commemorating the awarding of the Congressional Gold Medal to the 100th Infantry Battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Team and Military Intelligence Service for their service during World War II. 

A Waikiki parade begins at 10 a.m. Saturday with a banquet at the Hawaii Convention Center to follow. A Memorial Service at Punchbowl is set for at 9 a.m. Sunday. Gov. Neil Abercrombie will attend the banquet and ceremony.
