The Intermediate Athletics program for 6th-8th graders will be implemented in Nanakuli, Waianae, Kau, Keeau and Pahoa, areas which represent 5 percent of the state’s lowest-performing schools.
Proposed sports for the pilot program include football, basketball, volleyball and soccer.
