DAGS has contracted with NORESCO to implement energy-efficiency improvements in public buildings, including the state Capitol.

To that end, glass doors are being installed on the second floor to enclose an inner hallway, enabling Capitol employees “to open their office doors without compromising energy efficiency,” according to a Senate memo.

The doors have caught some lawmakers by surprise. But, more doors will be installed in the coming weeks.
