An online petition aims to persuade the national pro-women PAC EMILY’s List to change its mind about endorsing Tulsi Gabbard for Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional District.

Petitioners argue that Gabbard is:

… a strong, outspoken opponent of rights for gays and lesbians. She supported Hawaii designation of marriage as between one man and one woman and opposed the recent civil unions bill. She has restated her opposition to recognition of same-sex relationships shortly after announcing her candidacy …

Those that have signed the petition so far include a number of Hawaii Democrats.
