Gov. Neil Abercrombie today released more than $63.7 million for various capital improvement projects around the state. The projects were approved by the Hawaii Legislature last session.
Here are some of the more big-ticket items:
• $16 million for UH Hilo student housing
• $12.8 million for Honolulu International Airport
• $7 million for shoreline repair along Maui’s Honoapiilani Highway
• $10 million for the state’s Rental Housing Trust Fund
• $6 million for Kapaa Elementary School Library
