Hanabusa on the ‘Theater of the Future’
Rep. Colleen Hanabusa penned an opinion piece for the Capitol Hill newspaper Roll Call about the importance of the Pacific region as the military “theater of the future.”
“Hawaii continues to serve as our nation’s primary home-soil presence in the Pacific,” Hanabusa wrote. “Our challenge is to project U.S. military power in the Pacific that will both protect our homeland and enhance strategic and emerging alliances throughout the region.”
