Hawaii Could Lose $75M Ed Grant

The federal government says that Hawaii’s “unsatisfactory” performance puts it at ”high-risk” to lose $75 million in education dollars.

The grant came as part of Race to the Top, the Obama administration’s signature education reform initiative. The warning to Hawaii is a first among grant recipients.
