A Big Island man is in police custody on suspicion of assault following a confrontation Tuesday at a fire station.North Kohala patrol officers responded to a request for help at the Hawi fire station. When they arrived, they observed a man struggling with a male firefighter on the floor of the firehouse driveway. The 49-year-old firefighter was bleeding profusely from the head.
