Hawaii Medical Center Closing Liliha and Ewa Hospitals

No sale for Hawaii Medical Centers East & West. The hospitals will close down within the next two to four weeks. HMC employs about 900 workers.

The closure will be a blow for West Oahu residents leaving Pali Momi in Aiea as the next closest medical center.

Hawaii Medical Center East & West will be closing down within the next two to four weeks.  

Prime Healthcare Services had offered $25 million for both hospitals, St. Francis was seeking in the area of $40 million and both sides were not able to meet in the middle.
