Pacific Business News reports that Hawaii has lost 3,200 retail jobs over the past five years, based on data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

“The state was one of 44 states to lose retail jobs since the end of 2006, according to analysis by On Numbers … The state was ranked 14th in the nation for the number of jobs lost, with the six states that gained jobs taking the top six spots.”
