Hirono Seattle-Bound for Fundraiser

Rep. Mazie Hirono is heading to Seattle for a Friday fundraiser headlined by Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Chairwoman Patty Murray, D-Wash., according to the newspaper Roll Call. 

Murray recently endorsed Hirono in her bid for the U.S. Senate seat that Sen. Daniel Akaka is vacating in 2012.

Roll Call reports that the DSCC is asking for donations of at least $125, and bestowing donors who give at least $2,500 with “host” status. The close of books for the current campaign finance period is about two weeks away.
