With less than a week before the close of books this campaign finance period, Rep. Mazie Hirono sent out a call for donations to her Senate campaign on Tuesday. 

Her goal is to raise $25,000 in the next five days. 

“It’s going to take all of this — and more — to pay the first few months of rent & utilities on our new campaign headquarters, win this primary, and take on Linda Lingle next fall,” Hirono said in an email. 

Hirono will face former Rep. Ed Case in the Democratic primary in August.
