Ah, the price of Paradise. Honolulu is tied for being the nation’s least affordable city for renters, according to a new report by the Center for Housing Policy.
The report — “Paycheck to Paycheck” — says just 8 percent of middle-class jobs in Honolulu pay well enough to cover rent for a two-bedroom apartment. That ranks Honolulu the least affordable along with five other cities, including San Francisco and Suffolk-Nassau in New York. …
