President of the Republican Jewish Coalition Matt Brooks says that helping former Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle get elected to the U.S. Senate is a “real priority,” according to the Capitol Hill publication Roll Call. 

Lingle formally launched her Senate campaign in October, and Brooks told Roll Call that he’s already been to events “that have raised in excess of six figures” for Lingle.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor is currently the only Jewish Republican in Congress, but with Lingle and other prominent candidates in the mix for 2012, that could soon change. Read more from Roll Call.
