Lanai Residents Await Word from Murdock

Rumors are swirling on Lanai about an upcoming visit from David Murdock, the island’s billionaire owner, who has said that he may be selling the island.

He was expected last week at a community meeting, but was a no show. Residents say he usually comes around Christmas time. The latest rumor: that Murdock will be bringing Bill Gates, a Saudi price and Gov. Neil Abercrombie to Lanai at the end of the month.
