New DDC Director On The Agenda

Yesterday, Inside Honolulu reported there had been no indication that soon-to-be-former Department of Design and Construction Director Collins Lam was leaving.

That was wrong.

Though there has still been no public announcement about the Cabinet-level departure, Mayor Peter Carlisle did float Deputy Director Lori Kahikina as a permanent replacement in a message to the Honolulu City Council sent Nov. 22.

That appointment is on today’s 2 p.m. public hearing agenda.
