A lot of school districts (including Hawaii’s) filter social networking/media sites like YouTube to shield students from inappropriate content. But YouTube has found a way for schools to get the benefits of video sharing without the sketchy risks: YouTube for Schools.
According to the company’s press release, YouTube for Schools is “a network setting that school administrators can turn on to grant access only to the educational content from YouTube EDU,” which has aggregated content from more than 600 partners like Smithsonian, TED and Khan Academy.
