NY Forging Ahead With ‘Nutty’ Teacher Evaluations

Earlier this week, the New York State education commissioner threatened to pull Race to the Top funding from districts not satisfactorily implementing teacher evaluations.

Now, at least one educator has stepped forward to reveal just how convoluted and poorly written the state’s guidelines are for developing teacher evaluation systems.Meanwhile, Hawaii has been keeping its pilot program for evaluations under wraps.
