hawaii-politics:

The salaries of public employees are public, something that Civil Beat has written about. With the Abercrombie administration’s new hires in place, how much do they make?

New communication’s director Jim Boersema is paid $76,380, while communications manager Keith DeMello earns $62,700 — the same as their predecessors (the figures reflect that 5 percent payroll cut).

New chief of staff Bruce Coppa was paid $108,972 as comptroller, while the new deputy chief of staff, Blake Oshiro, earned $46,273 as a legislator. According to current payroll figures, the chief of staff gig pays $114,420 while the deputy earns $91,200.

Press secretary Donalyn Dela Cruz’s salary was increased about $4,000 to $73,008, reflecting her new duties as deputy communications director.
