Star-Advertiser Error Sets Off First-Dog Confusion

The Star-Advertiser incorrectly reported that the Obamas’ dog, Bo, arrived in Hawaii with Michelle Obama and her daughters. 

So when President Barack Obama was out Christmas shopping with Bo in Virginia on Wednesday, the ever-sophisticated Internet was abuzz with questions about the pooch: Does Bo have a travel double? Is the White House using taxpayer dollars to fly him back and forth between Hawaii and Washington for photo opps?

The White House has yet to dignify these hard-hitting questions with a response. 

UPDATED: 12/22/11 6:11 p.m. A White House official confirmed to Civil Beat that Bo Obama “did not travel to Hawaii.”
