The Hawaii Supreme Court has scheduled oral argument for the Big Island challenge to the 2011 Hawaii Reapportionment Commission for Jan. 4 at 9 a.m. at Aliiolani Hale.
The petitioners, including state Sen. Malama Solomon, argue that population changes mean the Big Island should gain a fourth senate seat while Oahu should lose one.
